Aberfoyle, gateway to the Trossachs has a variety of shops that you must visit if you're looking for a memento of your Trossachs holiday, or that illusive or unusual gift for a loved one or friend. You will find presents for Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas .... and you!


The David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre is the best place to start exploring Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.

This impressive building, locally known by its original name, the David Marshall Lodge, was gifted to the Forestry Commission in 1960 by the Carnegie Trust. The David Marshall Lodge offers some of the most spectacular views in the area, including a stunning view across Loch Ard Forest to Ben Lomond.

The visitor centre is also the location of the Go Ape! high wire adventure course.


Guyana - Gifts and Plants, Main Street, Aberfoyle

Guyana Crafts & Arts
The owner has travelled extensively before setting up Guyana in 2001. This has influenced the wide range of crafts sourced from throughout the world. Soapstone, giant wooden camels and leather elephants all sit together with hand painted glass, candles, cards and a wide selection of gifts.

Plants
The wide range of plants (including alpines, heathers, shrubs, perennials, trees, summer and winter bedding) have been carefully chosen from specialist nurseries in Scotland and the rest of Britain. Only plants that are hardy enough to last in Scotland's interesting weather are chosen.


Rade, Main Street, Aberfoyle

Rade is an old Scottish word describing an enterprise or expedition.

It is also the title of the 1st of May celebrations of the Faeries and believed by others, to be a celebration taking place late in summer each year.

Close to Loch Lomond, in the heart the Trossachs Scotland, is the tourist haven and traditional holiday destination of Aberfoyle. On the Main Street sits the Rade Shop, an aladdins cave of gifts, art, books, statues (some limited edition fantasy artist pieces) and many other unusual items that will appeal to both adults and children. Also held in stock is a wide range of The Mountain T-shirts with fabulous designer prints ranging from Fairies and Dragons to the popular animal designs of Wolves and Horses.

Our Food Hall offers you a wide selection of typical Scottish food. Why not take some Scottish haggis or shortbread home with you, or try some smoked salmon from the Smokehouse.

Browse through Katrine Gifts at the edge of the loch, to make your selection from a wide range of Scottish crafts, including books on The Trossachs, and on the life of Sir Walter Scott.

Housed in the former boathouse at Trossachs Pier, Katrine Gifts is where you will find a special souvenir of your visit.
